Conversion copy and customer research

You need to overcome competitive landscape changes, shifts in target segment use cases and changes in must-have buyer criteria — and continue growing by finding opportunities in new segments or industries and getting more MQLs with conversion rate optimization.

I’d argue that the easiest way to achieve those goals is ongoing customer research. Except that it can be hard to find time for it, let alone for optimization and validation, when you already have multiple balls in the air.

I can help with that.

An extension for your team to continuously optimize your copy and confidently navigate market changes

Done-for-you messaging and customer research

Packages starting at $2,500

Running outreach and interviews with representatives of a customer segment, a group of churned users, or closed-lost prospects to get to the “why” behind their behavior.

Digging into the sales calls recordings to find out misconceptions, messaging that falls flat, or frequently asked questions for new blog posts or to optimize your web pages.

(Suspect that 80% of the answers are hidden in Gong? You’re probably right!)

Designing a survey and a screener to filter out users that don’t match your research criteria.

Running a messaging test and going through the results to separate signal from the noise.

All of those are possible, depending on your research goals.

Getting (backlogged) deliverables done

Packages starting at $2,000

Sometimes all you need is a (temporary) extra member of the team to take care of the copy updates for funnels, sales enablement materials or web pages that you’ve been adding to the backlog and don’t have the bandwidth to tackle.

Ideally without having to go through extensive onboarding calls.

I can take your project(s) and run with optimization or product page rewrites, pulling on my years of B2B SaaS copywriting experience and your available reference information.

All you need to do is set up an onboarding call, hand over relevant reference information, and I’ll take care of every stage of the process, from setting up a copy brief to revisions.

Retainers for
customer-focused teams that need on-call support

Packages start at $5,000

For startups that operate in an uncertain environment with shifting priorities, moving from one project to another one at the drop of a hat can be a necessity.

But switching between team members and/or doing handovers to different service providers means either losing context or creating more work for the internal team.

If you’re already swamped with meetings, need to regularly produce a variety of converting deliverables, and need someone to make copy decisions grounded in customer research data, I could be that someone for your startup.

We’ll need to work on a test project before committing to a retainer to make sure we’re a good fit to work together. Retainers can range from 3 to 6 months and vary in the amount of support I’ll be providing — depending on your needs.

  • Ekaterina is terrific at what she does. She seeks to understand and makes no assumptions about buying audiences.

Her project management, attention to detail and expertise are stellar and she gives each customer great attention. Highly recommend!

    Amy Baker, CMO, HackEDU

  • I decided to hire Ekaterina because of her organizational and communication skills and her research capabilities. I was particularly impressed by the thoroughness of research and her sleuthing. Coordinating the assets to make the project successful was a huge bonus, too. She seamlessly integrated herself into the team, and followed up with other contractors and team members.

    Jason Pittock, CMO, ClickGUARD

  • Ekaterina is thorough, systematic, asks good questions, does what she says she will do when she says she will do it, is lovely to work with and also willing to give a little more than was included. Working with Ekaterina was confidence-inspiring and her work is excellent.
